Iraq releases Jordanian prisoner

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Non-stop government efforts have culminated in securing the release of Jawad Mohammad al-Bdour, a Jordanian citizen, who was in jail in Iraq and arrived back home this morning, announced a foreign ministry spokeswoman.

Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Sabah al-Rafa'i, said the man was earlier included by a presidential amnesty but he wasn't released because he was wanted for other cases.

However, she added, the government's and the Jordanian embassy's in Baghdad endeavors culminated in the release of Al-Bdour.
