Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) – Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met on Thursday with France’s Minister in charge of French Citizens Abroad Helene Conway-Mouret currently visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour during which she will also visit Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
Talks during the meeting covered Jordanian-French ties and means to further boost these in various fields.
Ensour expressed Jordan's appreciation for French investments in the Kingdom, which rank first among non-Arab investments in the country.
Jordan, he said, is keen to attract more investments and a suitable environment for economic growth so that such investments yield good returns.
The two sides agreed that French Ambassador to Jordan Caroline Dumas prepare a study on French investments in the Kingdom and the challenges that investors face so that corrective steps can be taken.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan, which is hosting a large number of Syrian refugees.
The French minister spoke about the aid being provided by France to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom. She also highlighted her country's stance which calls for arriving at a political solution to the Syrian crisis that ends bloodshed and violence.
