Ensour inspects rehabilitation and development project around Ajloun mosque

Ammon News - AJLOUN (Petra)-Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday inspected work on the Third Tourism Project, which includes the rehabilitation and development of downtown Ajloun and the surrounding area of its ancient mosque.

During the visit, Ensour affirmed His Majesty King Abdullah II's interest in Ajloun's ancient mosque, which enjoys a historical, religious and archeological significance, noting that this is one of the important projects that preserves historical and archeological treasures in line with the plan to develop Ajloun's governorate and the tourism map.

He also listened to the demands of a number of shop owners and citizens regarding slow progress of work in the project, which was supposed to be completed a long time ago.

The Prime Minister promised to contact concerned ministries to follow up work and speed up the Third Tourism Project.
