Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) – The Jordan Nuclear Regulatory Commission (JNRC) has signed an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to execute the second phase of a training program on nuclear security evaluation for the Jordanian staff.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, Director General of the JNRC Majd Al Hawari said the agreement was signed during a meeting with IAEA experts held last week in Vienna.

The official said the two-year program is important for the Jordanian nuclear cadres, especially graduates of the Nuclear Engineering Program at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, who will be able to hone their skills.

The training program, Hawari noted, will include practical applications, licensing documents and internationally-recognized readings of codes, among other practices.
