Police on Tuesday said that the woman, in her 20's, was reportedly confined and bound for a long period of time without food or drink by her relatives. The woman reportedly suffered from a mental illness. The woman's body showed signs of beatings and torture throughout her body. The body was transferred to the National Center for Forensic Medicine for a post-mortem examination, the police source said, adding that an investigation has been launched to determine the details of the incident.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A woman died on Tuesday reportedly as a result of being tortured, confined, and deprived of food and drink by her family in the northern city of Ramtha.

Police on Tuesday said that the woman, in her 20's, was reportedly confined and bound for a long period of time without food or drink by her relatives.

The woman reportedly suffered from a mental illness.
