Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion in the southern governorate of Maan died on Monday morning following a police raid on his home.

The Public Security Department (PSD) press office announced on Monday that the a police unit headed to the suspect's house after his fingerprints were identified during an investigation into a home robbery.

PSD added that the suspect attempted to run away from police and jumped out of his home's roof, adding that police managed to later apprehend him.

The suspect reportedly fainted while being driven to the police precinct, and was rushed to a local hospital.

The suspect was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

His body was transferred to the Southern Center for Forensic Medicine for an autopsy exam, PSD added, noting that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
