The Ministry said "it is coordinating with the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah to bring home the bodies of the victims and the injured to Jordan". The King also directed the government to bring home those who were injured in the accident to be treated at Jordanian hospitals, provided that their condition allows their transfer at this stage.
More than 50 Jordanian pilgrims were onboard the vehicle going from Mecca to Madinah when the accident occurred.
