Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Interior decided to ban issuing new permits to bars and nightclubs in the capital Amman, and stopped issuing permits to liquor stores in Amman and the governorates.

The decision came after parliamentary requests, citing heavy violations and fights at these establishments, in addition to the high number of liquor stores and bars in the capital Amman, Al Rai daily reported.

The Ministry said that existing liquor stores, nightclubs, and bars previously registered will have to renew their permit annually, and must obtain the approval of the administrator governor and concerned security agencies, the report added.
