Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -A delegation from the Jordan-US Chamber of Commerce in Chicago on Saturday began a visit to the Kingdom, aimed at strengthening the expatriate Jordanian community's ties with its home country in the investment, technology, education and real estate sectors.

The chamber's founder and president, Suhail Masri, said its key objectives were to ensure that all Jordanians in the US will be incorporated into the Kingdom's social security system, promote trade exchanges between the Jordanian and US markets, and forge cooperation in the media and publishing sectors.

He said the cooperation would be within the framework of the "strategic" relationship between Jordan and the United States, existing for over six decades, during which the Kingdom made rapid progress in the economic, social, political and human resources fields and became a key regional player.

Masri noted that the delegation would discuss with top officials, both from the public and private sectors in Jordan, feasible means to bolster the expat Jordanian community's ties with its home country by translating into action the agreements signed by the two countries.

He expressed hope that his visit would culminate in the signing of cooperation agreements in various fields and pave the way for the chamber to open a regional office in Amman. (Petra)
