King stresses need to protect citizens' rights, enforce rule of law

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II has emphasized the need to protect citizens' rights and enforce the rule of law in a firm and transparent way, and without exception, for the sake of democracy and reform in Jordan.

During a visit to the Public Security Department (PSD) on Monday, in which he met with its director, Lt. General Tawfiq Al-Tawalbeh, the King also reiterated the need to continue providing modern and integrated police services across the country.

His Majesty pointed out that PSD plays an important role by interacting with the local community and putting in place mechanisms and programs to deal with problems facing the society.

The King expressed his pride and confidence in all personnel of the police force and their ability to effectively carry out their duties under all circumstances.
