Jordan, Turkey discuss closer tourism cooperation

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) A Turkish delegation is visiting Jordan to discuss ways to improve cooperation in tourism between the two countries.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Eisa Gammoh, met with the delegation, which represents Turkish travel and tourism agents, and briefed them on Jordanian tourism attractions, as well as security and stability in the Kingdom.

Jordan, he said, is keen to enact the Free Trade Agreement, which aims to improve trade, economic and tourism cooperation.

Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Sedat Onal, who attended the meeting, called for closer tourism cooperation, pointing to the recently-launched Aqaba-Istanbul direct route and its anticipated role in increasing the number of Turkish investments in the southern port city of Aqaba.
