Jordanian-Venezuelan joint project in handicrafts

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)--The Venezuelan Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with the Jordan River Foundation, held a press conference on Wednesday to discuss the joint project begun recently in the kingdom to exchange know-how and expertise in the field of handicrafts between Venezuela and Jordan.

Filomena Porkhi, wife of the Venezuelan ambassador in Amman who created the idea of the project, said she sought, through this project, to involve Venezuelan women in the first exchange of experts among weavers in the two countries.

She pointed out that the government in her country supported sending three Venezuelan female artisans to Jordan for 10 days to exchange information, teach and learn skills related to traditional handicrafts in Jordan .
