Ammon News - WASHINGTON (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Thursday with US Vice President Joe Biden to discuss bilateral ties and the latest developments in the Middle East, especially the repercussions from the Syrian crisis.
His Majesty reiterated that the danger of the Syrian crisis has reached unprecedented levels and warned of its catastrophic consequences on the future of the entire region, if it continues.
The King also touched upon efforts to achieve peace in the region based upon the two-state solution. Biden said Washington understands the large burden shouldered by Jordan, as a result of the continuing influx of Syrian refugees in increasing numbers that have surpassed Jordan's capabilities and limited resources.
