Syrian refugee population in Jordan up to over than 413,000

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) – Thousands of Syrians continue to cross the Jordanian border bringing to 413,516 the total number of the refugees who had entered the Kingdom since the start of the Syrian crisis, General Coordinator of Syrian Refugees' Affairs in Jordan Anmar Al Humoud said on Tuesday.

He told Petra that about 103,100 refugees currently live in the Zaatari Refugee Camp, noting that only 240,085 refugees are registered with the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees in Jordan and 54,258 others are waiting for registration.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,973 Syrian refugees, mainly, children, women and elderly people crossed into the Kingdom yesterday, according to an official source at the Jordan Armed Forces Command.
