1 killed, 3 injured in election festive firing in Maan and Naour

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - One young man was killed and two others were injured in festive firing in celebration of the winning of a local candidate in the southern governorate of Ma'an late Wednesday night.
The man was hit by a bullet from festive firing in the air and was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Two other Ma'an residents were also injured in the incident.
Supporters of a local candidate were celebrating his pre-announced victory in a Ma'an district in the parliamentary elections held on Wednesday.
Riots erupted late Wednesday night in the southern governorate of Ma'an after another local candidate lost in the parliamentary elections.
The Public Security Department (PSD) confirmed early on Monday that three Ma'an residents were struck by bullets when the shooter lost control of the firearm he was shooting from in festivity of the winning of a candidate in a local Ma'an district.
PSD media center said the three injured were rushed to the hospital.
One was pronounced dead upon arrival, and the other two are in moderate stable condition and are being treated.
An probe has been launched to investigate the details of the incident.
In a separate incident, a young man was critically wounded after being struck by a bullet in Naour district south of Amman, and was rushed to the hospital.
The man remains in critical condition.
