AMMONNEWS - Chief of the Public Security Department (PSD) Major General Hussein Majali said that no security incidents happened in the kingdom that disrupted the voting process on Wednesday's parliamentary elections.
He noted in a press conference held at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman that 46 incidents were reported as of 5:30 PM on Wednesday, with 6 incidents reported in the capital Amman, 8 in central provinces, 10 in northern provinces, and 15 in southern governorates, 3 in Aqaba, and 4 in the Badia region.
Majali noted that gendarmerie and security forces dispersed crowds in a southern district that attempted to disrupt the voting process in a polling station there.
"A large number of complaints were received by PSD's operation room, but the majority of them turned out to be malicious and spiteful complaints," Majali said during the press conference.
He added that security forces received around 5 percent of what they expected to receive of complaints and security incidents.
