Violence, gunshots at Amman's 4th constituency over elections

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Clashes erupted on Wednesday afternoon between supporters of two candidates running in the fourth constituency in the capital Amman.

Supporters of two candidates from two different tribes vying for the seat allocated for Amman's 4th district exchanged gunshots and vandalized private vehicles parked on the side of the road, Ammon News correspondents on the ground reported.

Meanwhile, Security and Gendarmerie forces intervened to disperse crowds that had clashed with each other in Naour district, south of Amman.

Security forces fired tear gas and live gunshots in the air to disperse the crowds.

Security forces also intervened to break up clashes that erupted in Ein al-Basha, north of Amman.
