20,000 Syrian refugees entered the Kingdom in the past three days

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra)A total of 20,000 Syrian refugees, mainly, children, women and elderly people crossed into the Kingdom in the past three days, according to an official source from the Jordan Armed Forces.

The source said that border guard units operating along the Jordanian-Syrian borders received the refugees and evacuated them to an area prepared by the armed forces for this purpose.

The source added that the armed forces provided aid to the displaced Syrians in preparation to transfer them to the Zaatari refugee camp.

A total of 6134 Syrians entered the Kingdom Tuesday night, an official source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces said.

The source added that the entering group included children, women and older people including a number of injured.
