Home Jordan News Doctor rides tractor to reach delivering woman in snow-slammed Karak 10-01-2013 12:00 AM Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A local physician in the southern governorate of Karak hopped on the back of an agricultural tractor late Wednesday night to respond to an emergency baby delivery in a nearby local town amidst heavy snow that blocked all roads in the governorate. Karak residents told Ammon News that a man driving a tractor arrived at the doctor's home late night on Wednesday pleading to him to respond to a woman delivering a baby. The doctor reportedly hopped on the back of the tractor and arrived at the woman's house along with needed medical equipment. The woman's family had attempted repeatedly to contact the Civil Defence Department, but were not able to as a result of continued outages of electricity and telecommunications network caused by the severe weather conditions affecting the kingdom.
