Ammon News - Amman, (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday stressed the importance of developing entrepreneurship in the Kingdom and its role in providing sustainable employment opportunities to help address poverty and unemployment, and contribute in the overall economic drive.

During a meeting with a group of business leaders, His Majesty called for strengthening partnership between the public and private sectors to set an appropriate and supportive environment for entrepreneurship in the Kingdom and transform entrepreneurial ideas into productive projects.

The King said the government is concerned within available resources, to provide tools that enable young people to start their enterprises and ensure their success and sustainability.

He stressed the importance of promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation and supporting business incubators at universities and companies and the need to disseminate exprtise to all governorates.

In the same context, the King said the private sector should take the initiative and contribute to projects that will be implemented within the framework of the Governorates Development Fund to ensure the distribution of development gains in all regions of the Kingdom.
