Jordanian-Saudi ties advanced, says minister

Ammon News - Amman. (Petra) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Awad Khleifat said Saturday that Jordanian-Saudi ties have evolved and arrived at an advanced stage, thanks for the wise leadership in both countries.

The minister made the remarks as he received Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Fahd bin Abdul Mohsen Al Zaid. The two officials discussed ties between the two countries and means to cement cooperation in various domains, serving the two peoples interests.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been and still a strong supporter of Jordan and its different projects, the minister said. He added that the stances and policies of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Saudi Monarch Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz towards different Arab, regional and international issues have crystallized stands that are in line with the various regional and international developments.

The Saudi envoy reiterated his country's keenness to enhance ties with Jordan, noting the two countries' identical views towards different Arab, regional and international issues.
