Elections commission to train staff on ballot sorting, counting

AMMAN — The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) on Tuesday announced a plan to train staff on the sorting and counting of ballots.

IEC Deputy Secretary General Badria Bilbeisi said the commission requires 4,065 committees to supervise 5,065 ballot boxes, adding that over 32,000 people need to be trained.

Also Tuesday, the IEC posted the draft rules for election campaigning on its website (www.entikhabat.jo) for the public's feedback and comments
