King Hussein International Airport reopens

Ammon News - AQABA (Petra)--King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, which was closed for 4 hours on Friday due to unstable weather conditions and heavy rain, had reopened, President of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Mohammad Qaran said.

He told Jordan News Agency that the airport was closed at 5:00 pm on Friday due to the accumulation of sand and water on the airport's runway.

Qaran thanked the Aqaba Governorate, civil defence and Aqaba Airports Company for their efforts to reopen the airport.
