Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two non-Jordanian inmates on Friday night escaped from Qafqafa prison in northern Jordan, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.
A statement issued by PSD said that two Arab nationals imprisoned on drug-related charges managed to escape from the Qafqafa Correctional and Rehabilitation Center Friday evening, adding that a investigation team was formed to probe the prison break incident, as police are still searching for the two runaway inmates.
A security source later told Ammon News that the two prisoners are Syrian nationals, and are still at large.
