Ammon News - ZARQA – President of the Hashemite University Ruwaida Ma'aytah on Monday discussed with an advisor to the President of the U.S University of Texas at Arlington means and ways of boosting bilateral ties between the two universities.

Talks during the meeting dealt with establishing centers of excellence and leadership in several areas, a national center for integrated micro-systems and a renewable energy center.

It also dealt with exchanging visits between faculty members and students, conducting joint scientific research, creating joint programs and sending students in scholarships to pursue higher education.

The two officials also discussed establishing a distinguished IT research center specialized in the safety and reliability of information and communication and addressing cyber crimes and digital computer investigations, as well as building a risk management center, a biotechnology center and an Arab and Eastern studies center.
