Ammon News - The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that specialized firefighting teams from the West Irbid Civil Defense Directorate responded on Thursday to a fire that broke out in a single room inside a house in the town of Deir Abi Saeed, in Irbid Governorate.

The fire resulted in the deaths of two people, a husband and his wife, and injuries to their son.

Firefighters managed to extinguish and contain the blaze, while ambulance crews provided first aid to the injured son before transporting him to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased were evacuated to Princess Raya Governmental Hospital.

The spokesperson added that the injured son is receiving treatment, and an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
