Ammon News - The Eastern Military Region on Monday morning thwarted, on its front line and within its area of responsibility, four attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics loaded onto balloons guided by primitive devices.

The balloons were dealt with and shot down, and their cargo was seized inside Jordanian territory after being spotted in several different locations by border guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.

The seized items were transferred to the competent authorities.
