Ammon News - AMMONNEWS (Petra) - London, The UK government decided not to deport the 28-year-old Jordanian neurosurgeon, Mohammed Asha, and let him stay in Britain after he was cleared of terrorism charges.
The British Home Office will no longer seek his deportation after the neurologist was acquitted of any link to the London and Glasgow car bomb attacks,2007, said British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on Friday.
The UK Home Office attributed its deportation bid to national security concerns even after a verdict, by Woolwich Crown Court, was issued acquitting him, added BBC.
Asha's solicitor, Tayab Ali, said his defendant " doesn’t pose a threat to Britain's security" and hoped the Jordanian national will resume his medical career.
