Jordan reports 2,054 CIVID-19 cases, 18 fatalities.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A whopping 2,054 COVID-19 cases were recorded in Jordan on Tuesday, pushing the caseload to more than 28,127, according to a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Amman recorded the majority of cases with at least 1,357, followed by Zarqa that recorded 210; 122 cases were recorded in Irbid, 90 in Ajloun, 67 in Karak, 59 in Balqa, 40 in Madaba, 30 in Mafraq, 28 in Jerash, 25 in Maan and 8 in Aqaba. Seven non-domestic cases were also recorded.
The lung disease killed 18 people within the last 24 hours as the death toll inches to 225, the statement read.
In their effort to stem the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus, health authorities conducted 25,736 tests on Tuesday as the tally now stands at 1,464,940. And 142 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals today.
Amid rising number of cases, the MoH urged people to abide by health measures, wearing masks and gloves, and to commit to defense orders that prohibit holding gatherings of more than 20 people, highlighting the importance of downloading the "Aman" and "Sihtak" apps.
