Nine COVID-19 cases recorded, Monday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A total of nine new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, non of which were local, bringing the caseload to 1,042 across the Kingdom, according to the Ministry of Health.

In its daily briefing, the Ministry said eight of the cases were for Jordanians who have recently been repatriated home (four from Saudi Arabia, one from Iraq, one from Kuwait, one from Pakistan and another from the USA).

A case was recorded for a non-Jordanian truck driver on the Al-Omari crossing border with Saudi Arabia, who had been dealt with according to the set protocol, the Ministry added.

On a positive note, 11 patients recovered today and were discharged from the Prince Hamza public hospital in Amman and one other was discharged from the Queen Alia Military Hospital.

As for testing, 5,264 tests were conducted today, bringing the total to more than 336,000 so far.
