Planning minister honors IRADA entrepreneurs

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Wissam Rabadi, on Thursday honored the owners of distinguished projects that were established through the Enhanced Productivity Program (EPP)/IRADA centers in the Kingdom's various governorates.

Launched in 2002 by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MOPIC), "IRADA," a national development program, aims to enhance economic and social productivity in implementation of the Royal vision to meet development challenges, and implemented by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS).

The IRADA Entrepreneurial Award aims to increase societal awareness of the importance of productive projects by honoring a group of entrepreneurs running distinctive productive projects at the governorate level

In 2019, 12 projects won the award, of which 6 went to industrial enterprises, 4 and 2 to service, tourism ventures respectively.

In his speech during the honoring ceremony, Rabadi said: "What distinguishes this program is its ability to spread through 28 centers, established by the MOPIC, across the Kingdom working to provide free services, advisory, technical and training, and economic feasibility studies."

Continuing:" IRADA also assists small investors in making the correct investment decision and develop their skills and technical and administrative capabilities that will increase the chances of success and project sustainability."

The IRADA centers, he said, also contributed to coaching new university graduates to enhance their capabilities to engage in labor markets and find sustainable job opportunities.

The ministry, he noted, has adopted many initiatives and programs to achieve those goals, of which IRADA at the forefront, to enhance economic and social productivity, with the aim of increasing productivity of individuals and local community bodies and achieving direct positive effects at the living conditions.
