Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan Customs Department (JCD) at the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics into the Kingdom.

After conducting a search to a "suspicious" passenger coming to Jordan, the department seized some 1,300 Tramadol and Lyrica pills that were found in a package inside a suitcase.

Abdulmajid Alrahamneh, Director General of the JCD, lauded the efforts of the department's personnel, and their work around the clock to protect the country and combat all forms of smuggling.

Tramadol and Pregabalin are considered extremely dangerous narcotics if used without a medical prescription and can lead to addiction. They can cause behavioral disturbances leading to violence and the possible injury of others.
