Cabinet discusses recent developments at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Cabinet on Sunday held a meeting focusing on the latest developments at the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al-Haram al-Sharif, particularly a recent Israeli court decision to close Bab al-Rahma (Gate of Mercy) prayer area at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem.

The Cabinet voiced Jordan's rejection and condemnation of the Israeli ruling and said the Kingdom views Bab al-Rahma is an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al-Haram al-Sharif compound and that Israeli courts have no jurisdiction over the place.

The Cabinet was briefed by the ministers of foreign and awqaf on diplomatic efforts and legal measures pursued regarding the developments in occupied Jerusalem.
