Drop in temperatures expected for next three days

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight in mercury levels is expected on Sunday, but it remains warm in the hilly areas and the Badia, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for light rain across many regions.

Temperatures for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach a high of 24 degrees Celsius and a low of 12 degrees, while in the Gulf of Aqaba mercury levels will register a high of 33 degrees sliding down to 20 degrees at night.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a further in mercury levels is forecast on Monday. Therefore, pleasant spring weather conditions will prevail in the mountainous areas and the Badia, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for light showers, mainly in the eastern regions.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the southern and eastern parts of the country, the JMD said.

Temperatures will continue to on Tuesday bringing partly cloudy to cloudy weather with rainfall at times in many areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.
