Jordan condemns "Boko Haram" terror blasts in Nigeria

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The government of Jordan Thursday denounced the terror blasts that took place Wednesday evening in Nigeria, killing and injuring scores of people.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani said that Jordan strongly condemns the bloody violent attacks northeastern of Nigeria and committed by Boko Haram terror group, renewing Jordan's firm and constant stance of the need to fight terrorism within a holistic and strategic approach.

Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, stressed Jordan's support for Nigeria in its efforts to combat terrorism, extending the government condolences to the victims' families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Four suicide bombers, including two women and two men, detonated their explosives on Wednesday evening in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, leaving 12 people dead and further 22 injured. The city is the worst hit by Boko Haram's eight-year violent attacks.
