Home Jordan News King receives two U.S. congressmen 08-10-2017 10:50 AM Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday met with U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Senator Michael Enzi (R-WY) and an accompanying delegation for a discussion on the Jordanian-U.S. strategic relationship and ways of expanding joint cooperation. During the meeting attended by HRH Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, His Majesty thanked the U.S. for its support to the Kingdom, especially in military domains. The meeting touched on a number of Middle East issues, including efforts to push peacemaking forward. They also discussed the Syrian refugee crisis and its repercussions on Jordan's economy and limited resources. The talks tackled counterterror efforts within a holistic strategy. The congressmen commended Jordan's effort, led by His Majesty the King, to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East.
