Arab leaders start arriving in Amman for summit

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Tuesday welcomed Arab leaders and heads of delegations, who began arriving for the 28th Arab summit, due to convene tomorrow at the Dead Sea shores.

His Majesty first received Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya, Fayez al-Sarraj, Lebanese president, Michel Aoun, Yemini President, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of Djibouti Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai; Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al Abadi, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and Tunisian President El Beji Caid Essebsi. The leaders were accorded official receptions after they arrived at the Queen Alia International Airport.

His Majesty King Abdullah also welcomed Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who heads his country's delegation to the Arab summit.

Arab leaders and heads of delegations, participating the 28th Arab summit, due to convene tomorrow at the Dead Sea shores, were also welcomed by a number of the Royal family, the Prime Minister, Royal Court Chief, King's Advisor for National Security Affairs, Director of the General Intelligence Department, Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of the King's Office, King's Advisor and Rapporteur of the National Policies Council, Minster of State For Media Affairs, Arab League Secretary-General and a number of senior civic and military officials.
