Moderate conditions forecast, as spring arrives

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS- A rise in temperatures is expected Tuesday, as the Kingdom witnesses the start of the spring solstice or the vernal equinox, marking the beginning of spring and the end of winter in the northern hemisphere. Therefore, spring conditions will prevail today and tomorrow in the hilly areas, the eastern plains and the Badia regions, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
Chances of scattered showers, accompanied with thunder and lightning are also expected, with northwesterly moderate winds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Daytime temperatures expected for today in the capital and the northern regions will reach 17 degrees Celsius dropping to 10 at night, in the southern governorates they will register 15 degrees, sliding to 7. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will jump to 27 degrees plunging to 17 at night, it added.
A slight in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, and it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers across the kingdom. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk stirring dust mainly in the southern and eastern parts, the JMD added.
