Experts: Jordan qualified to digitize economy

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Participants in the Middle East and North Africa Information and Communications Technology (MENA ICT) 2016 forum, that kicked off Wednesday under the theme "Digitizing the Economy", said Jordan has an advanced infrastructure, which qualifies it to digitize its economy.

They indicated that Jordan has made significant achievements in the last ten years towards digitizing its economy, stressing the importance of speeding up the process of transformation.

Chief Executive Officer of Zain, Ahmad Hanandeh, said the Kingdom's infrastructure in the telecommunications and information technology's sector is ready and supports the shift towards a real digitized economy.

Umniah's Chief Executive Officer, Ziad Shatara, noted that Jordan has taken several steps towards digitizing its economy, stressing: "We in Jordan at the beginning of a digital transformation journey."
