King receives US official

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed that Jordan will continue with various regional parties, efforts to confront terrorist organizations, mainly the Daesh terrorist gang.
During a meeting in Al Husseiniya Palace with the US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh, Brett McGurk, the King highlighted the need to intensify cooperation and coordination with member countries of the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh, to eliminate this terrorist group within a holistic approach.
The US official condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a military post on the border with Syria, stressing the coalition's determination to defeat daesh and support Jordan's capabilities in this regard.
He also offered his condolences to His Majesty over victims of the criminal act that took place yesterday.
The meeting was attended by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, the Royal Court chief, the King's advisor for military affairs and chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, the King's advisor for national security affairs and director of the Intelligence Department and the King's advisor and rapporteur of National Policies Council.
