Heat wave to continue over weekend

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will remain under the impact of the heat wave until Friday as temperatures will record 4-6 degrees above their annual average. Therefore, it will be hot across the Kingdom and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) in its daily brief said that winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, raising dust in the desert areas.

Temperatures in the capital for today will reach a high of 36 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 24 at night, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will soar to 43 degrees plunging to 31, the JMD added .
