King leaves for France, United States

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, left Amman on Wednesday for a working visit to Paris, where he will hold talks with French President Francois Hollande on bilateral relations and regional and international developments.

The King, also accompanied by HRH Prince Hashim bin Abdullah, will meet with a number of French senior officials and economic, religious and intellectual leaders.

From Paris, His Majesty will head to New York in the United States, where he will be leading the Jordanian delegation to the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the session, the King will deliver a speech presenting the position of Jordan regarding the latest developments in the Middle East and its challenges.

On the sidelines of the session, King Abdullah will meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as well as a number of heads of state, delegations and political figures.

Meanwhile, HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
