Egypt's Sisi on first official visit to Saudi Arabia

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi travelled on Sunday to Saudi Arabia for his first official visit to the kingdom, Al Arabiya News Channel reported.

Sisi, who will meet with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in Jeddah, is expected to discuss the latest developments in the region as well as bilateral ties between the two countries.

In June, King Abdullah made a landmark visit to Egypt aimed at showing support for Sisi.

During the visit, both leaders held a meeting inside the airplane carrying the Saudi leader.

The visit was King Abdullah's first to Cairo since the 2011 ouster of president Hosni Mubarak.
