Lower House refers 11 bills to legal committee

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Lower House of Parliament referred during its session on Sunday, 11 draft laws related to improving the performance of the judiciary, to its legal committee.

The session was chaired by House Speaker Atef Tarawneh and attended by Prime Minister Hani Mulki and Cabinet members.

The bills came in implementation of recommendations of the Royal Committee for Developing the Judiciary and Enhancing the Rule of Law.

The committee, formed by His Majesty King Abdullah in 2016, was mandated with articulating a strategy to address the challenges facing the judicial reform process and improve legislation.
