AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday emphasized the importance of coordinating and unifying stances of Arab states to address challenges besetting the Arab region.
The King also stressed Jordan's keenness to support efforts designed to develop and institutionalize joint Arab action to serve issues of the Arab nation.
King Abdullah was speaking during a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace with Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abu al-Gheit.
His Majesty also discussed with the Secretary General topics and issues that will be tackled by the Arab summit in Jordan.
Abu al-Gheit underlined the importance of the Arab summit which will kick off this week in the Dead Sea area, in light of the challenges facing some Arab states.
He said the Arab League appreciated Jordan's stances under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah to promote joint Arab action and achieve security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by the Royal Court chief, the foreign minister and the director of the King's office.
