Arab Businesswomen Network calls for empowering women

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Middle East and North Africa Businesswomen's Network (MENA) meeting held Saturday in Amman discussed a number of key issues aimed at empowering Arab businesswomen and enhance their presence in decision-making positions in the public and private sectors President of the MENA Businesswomen's Network, Reem Badran said that the network seeks to boost Arab businesswomen active role in their communities and advance in leadership and decision making.

The meeting also aims at increasing networking among Arab businesswomen and promoting their representations in the boards and in senior positions in the private sector.

Talks during the meeting focused on supporting start-ups and projects of productive families with tools of marketing and consulting in the field of packaging and quality, distribution and continuity.

Badran said that the two-day meeting was an opportunity to exchange experience and share knowledge among Arab businesswomen.

Participants at the meeting agreed to launch a number of initiatives to enhance the empowerment of Arab businesswomen's, including a program for the integration and financial inclusion of entrepreneurs in the Arab countries. The program will be implemented through partnerships with Arab and international finance institutions in order to increase the support for women-oriented projects.

The next meeting of the network will be held in November in Ajman in the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of Gulf Business Women Forum, she added.
