Tear gas as riots erupt after Ramtha beats Wehdat 4-1

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Police used tear gas on Monday night to disperse rioting crowds following a match between the rival teams of Wehdat and Ramtha that ended with the latter winning 4-1 against Wehdat.
Following the match held at King Abdullah II stadium in Qweismeh Monday evening, fans crowded in the field and reportedly chanted offensive slogans against Wehdat team president Fahad Biyari.
Rioters attempted to vandalize stadium property before security forces intervened and used tear gas to disperse the rioters.
In part of the 12th week of the Manaseer Professional football league games, Ramtha's Lebanese player Mohammad Qassas scored the first goal in minute 32, followed by a second goal for Ramtha by Mohammad Khair in minute 36, and a third one by Ivory Coast player Amnogo Galla in minute 57, before Ramtha's own Mosaab Lahham concluded Ramtha's fourth goal in minute 65.
Wehdat's Mahmoud Shalbayeh scored his team's sole goal in minute 78.
Wehdat's goalie Amer Shafee' sustained injury to his lower abdomen during the match and is recovering at a hospital in Amman, Wehdat team chairman Tareq Khouri told Ammon News.
