04-10-2012 12:00 AM

Ammon News - By Wael Jaraysheh

AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh on Thursday submitted his recommendation to King Abdullah to dissolve the parliament, in preparation to hold early elections.

Ammon News learned that Tarawneh submitted his recommendation upon King Abdullah's return from an official trip abroad on Thursday.

The recommendation does not require a decision from the ministerial council, but must be signed by the Prime Minister or his deputy.

A Royal Decree is expected to be issued to dissolve the parliament in preparation to hold early elections slated to be held early in 2013.

Prime Minister Tarawneh's government would have to submit its resignation within one week from the parliament's dissolution in accordance with the Jordanian constitution, which also stipulates that the government that recommends the dissolution may not head the successive government.
