Security Meeting in Mafraq over Zaatari Camp Riots

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A security meeting was held on Tuesday in the border city of Mafraq over the riots which erupted in the Syrian refugees camp Monday night.

The meeting was headed by the Minister of Interior Ghalib Zu'bi along with the chief of the Public Security Department (PSD) General Hussein Majali and other security figures .

The attendees discussed the riots and measures to prevent such events in the future.


Five Jordanian military personnel were injured in the riots which erupted Monday night in the Za'atari Syrian refugee camp in Mafraq when over 250 refugees demanded Jordanian authorities to allow them to cross the border back to violence-stricken Syria.
