AMMONNEWS - The Legal Committee of the lower House of parliament approved 42 articles of the draft electoral law after being stopped in the previous session, when Article 21was under discussion..

The articles of a controversial debate has been delayed by the members of the Committee ;they expect it would take at least two other sessions..

Speaker of the House of Parliament Abdul Karim Al-Dughmi chaired the session of the Legal Committee, held Monday morning at the House of Parliament to discuss the draft electoral law, in presence of the Chairman of the Committee MP Mahmoud Kharabsheh.

Observers believe that Al-Dughmi chaired this session , with aim to accelerate action on the draft election law, in order to send it to the House for approval before the end of the second regular session of the Parliament 16.

He ( Al Dughmi) had vowed to the King last month to complete the electoral law before the end of the second regular session, which has only two weeks left.
